One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

Location: Islands of Adventure – Seuss Landing

Height Restriction: None, but children under 48” must be accompanied by an adult

Age Appropriateness: Toddlers to children – though whimsical adults may enjoy the ride too

Seat Type: Semi-enclosed fish with a single flat seat

Ride Description: It seems nearly every theme park has at least one of these simple, spinning kiddie rides – and for Islands of Adventure it comes in the form of the colorful incarnation of Dr. Seuss’s “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.”

Each fish on the ride can comfortably fit two guests – or possibly three if at least two are small children.

The fish spin around, suspended over a circular pool of water and a series of fountains spray water at you as you spin. The fountains are timed to the music, and if you listen carefully you’ll hear directions on how to avoid getting wet. Each car has a knob that controls its height – moving it up or down, and careful placement may just keep you dry. Then again – where’s the fun in that?

Getting Ready: Reread “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish” with your kids as you’re gearing up for your vacation and see if you can recognize the fish from the book on this ride, and throughout Seuss Landing.

Worth the Wait: For older guests, 10 or 15 minutes is the most you’ll want to wait. For toddlers who can’t get on many theme park attractions, 20 or 25 minutes is worthwhile.

Ride Restrictions: You should not ride this attraction if you:
  • are susceptible to motion sickness
Guests in wheelchairs may stay in their chairs on the ride. Guests in ECVs will be asked to transfer to a wheelchair provided at the attraction.
