Location: Islands of Adventure – Toon Lagoon
Height Restriction: None
Age Appropriateness: Younger children will enjoy the hands on activities; other guests will enjoy shooting water at the unsuspecting guests on Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges below
Attraction Description: Me Ship, The Olive is a kids’ play area filled with fun pieces to interact with. On the bottom level, you can take little ones into the spinach storage room where everything – including the walls – is padded. Older kids can race up to the upper levels of the ship and practice steering or shoot water guns at Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges as they pass.
Don’t forget to try your hand at playing the piano! You’ll find a bit of sheet music conveniently laid out for you and colored keys that make playing along as easy as can be. If you follow the notes as they’re printed on the music you’ll get an exciting surprise as the piano launches into the Popeye theme, complete with steam whistle.
Getting Ready: Catch a few old Popeye cartoons before your vacation to make sure the kids really appreciate this spinach-stocked vessel.
Worth the Wait: There isn’t much space onboard the Olive, and squeezing in to try and play isn’t any fun. Try stopping by around meal time when other parties are eating if you’re visiting during a busy time of the year.
Ride Restrictions: None. Guests in wheelchairs can use an elevator to access all levels of the ship.
